Precious metals and minerals.

• I have been investing in precious metals since the early 2000s.  I have been lucky enough to have lived in China and South Eastern Asia since 2000.  As such I have been exposed to a variety of ideas which others may not be privy too.  As the world grows, and as debt has increased, it is no wonder that gold and silver have grown up.  Even though they have been treading rough waters as of late, I would not be afraid to put resources into precious metals and in fact have done so myself over the past several years.
• If you do not feel comfortable owning gold and silver bullion then mining stocks are also available (and have done remarkably well, almost a 75% return since the Leman Brothers crash of 2008).
• My favorite mining stock is the USAA Precious Metals and Minerals Fund, USAGX:US
• I am not going to list a spot price here as it will change.   
• Spot price or not there are fewer mining companies now than in the past and a higher demand for all types of preioucs minerals as more and more people want smart phones (rare earth minerals) and silver also has several industrial uses.
• I use www.goldsilver.com to order bullion as they had the cheapest prices when I made my last order.  But of course you can look for yourself.
